What Broadside90 is
Broadside90 is a free web directory typeset in the tradition of a printer's reference catalogue — 836 sites hand-composed across 22 sections and reviewed before being set to the forme. It is run the old way: a person looks at each site before the address is locked to the plate.
How entries are set
Every address in the directory was submitted and reviewed by hand. The compositor notes the site's category, writes a plain description, and sets the address into the relevant section. Entries that go offline are cleared from the galley from time to time to keep the directory current.
Submitting your own site
Run a website? Submit it to the directory from the add page — enter your URL, choose a section, and your address joins the queue for review. There is no charge now and there never will be; Broadside90 is free to browse and free to join.
What Broadside90 does not do
No paid placements, no sponsored positions, no algorithmic ranking. The directory is a clean, legible plate — every entry sits in its section on the same terms as every other. Broadside90 does not track readers or serve advertising; it is simply a catalogue of working web addresses, set in type.
